Seeking Families of East Stour War Casualties

East Stour village is looking to mark the centenary of the start of the Great War by commemorating the men from the village who lost their lives.

Guy Gilding would very much like to hear from the families of any of the men listed below.  He has already traced the granddaughter of Bertram Gray and now has a photo of him.  The dream would be to find photos of each man, but it would be equally fitting to know that come August all relatives of each and every man were able to be at the rededication of the village memorial.

If you can help in any way please email David Lloyd at Gillingham Museum davidlloyd@gillinghammuseum.co.uk   quoting ‘East Stour – Guy Gilding’.

The men are:
Charles Phillips, Tom Flower, Bertram Gray, Arthur Fowles, Harry Hayter, John Lodder, Orland Parsons, Tom Martin, Frank Hunt, Earnest King, Ernest Kendall, Cecil Wadman, Ivor Kendall, Herbert Kendall, George Brixey, George Cryer, Frederick Mansfield, Charles Lemon, George Webber, and Herbert Burden.
